From Amara. Sort of. But half as long because I'm lazy. And a meme because my brain is sorta mushy right now.
You can ask me three questions. 1.2.3.
No matter how random, revealing, rude, naughty or pointless, I promise to answer them 100% truthfully.

haha! let's see.
1. what is the one characteristic/trait you would change in yourself, if you could?
2. what is your biggest regret in life so far, if any?
3. do you like green eggs and ham?
You're beginning to degenerate into some kind of LiveJournaler. But no less:
1. How did you and MrsMachine meet? (I've always thought a Singapore-Texas matchup would have an interesting story behind it.)
2. When are you publishing another book?
3. If you were horribly disfigured in a freak unicycling accident and had to get a face transplant but had only one of two options, whose face would you choose and why: George W. Bush or Richard Nixon?

1. i would quit smoking, or better yet, never have started.
2. not finishing my degree.
3. when we were in the field, in the army, and they deigned to give us a hot breakfast, the eggs always had a slight but definitely perceptible green tint, and always smelled just a tad sulphurous. And the ham was always some scrapple pressed together. So no, Sam I Am, I do not like green eggs and ham. But i would eat them from a can, I would eat them like a man. I would eat them while on duty, even though they made me pooty.

We met on the internet, actually. Started chatting, and this crazy lawyer lady from Singapore (where's Singapore?) was the funniest, strangest, smartest person I'd ever met. So we fel into extreme like, and then she came to Texas on her vacation, and we fell into immediate lust, and before she left we were neck deep in love.
I usually just tell people we met in prison. It's less embarrassing.
2. Uh, well, first i have to finish writing another book, then i have to get somebody to agree to publish it. If it helps, I'm about 35k into one right now, and it seems to be going pretty well.
3. Nixon. Definitely Nixon. First, most of you young punks don't recognize him anymore, and second, I'd rather look shifty than doltish.
3 things? hmm...
1) How's your experience being in Singapore? What is it that you like or dislike about being here?
2) What do you hope your legacy will be for your children and for society as a whole?... and...
3) What is it in the whole you do? *must be somewhere in the blog, but have missed it* :o)
Cheers
I got a good chuckle out of your statement, "It's less embarrassing."
Mine was: a New Jersey bar. Right? Perfect place to meet your soul mate.
People just nodd their head to that answer and move their attention elsewhere.

pc- some pretty broad questions :)
1. My experience in singapore has been generally positive. At first it was the similarities that struck me more than the differences. Differences i expected. I didn't expect a 7-11 on every corner and a starbucks every other block.
I like the fact that public transport works, that you don't have toown a car. i like the fact that I can pretty much walk down any street in singapore, day or night, and not worry about being mugged/stabbed/abducted. I don't like the fact that the weather never. changes. ever. and i think i've already talked about my food and political issues :)
2. legacy for my kids and society? I'm suppoesed o have a legacy? nobody told me I'm supposed to have a legacy! Shit, i'm 34-- i better get with it!
I just want to be a good writer, a good dad, a good jusband. That's enough.
3. What is it i do (as, like, a living?) Several things. I've had marketing and retail jobs, freelance writing, copywriting, stuff like that. Starting next year I'll be teaching English.
sorry.. must have been the kiasu singaporean part of me :o)...
know how as a child you'd think of ways of maximizing the use of the 3 wishes that you knew would be granted one day when you came across some old glass jar/bottle/phallic shaped bottle when walking home?
well... that's the part talking *grin*
pooty!
hey, singapore weather does change. it alternates between CRAP and MORE CRAP.
