Greetings and Salutations!

Welcome to the longest-running* yet least-read** blog on the internet! Here you'll find me writing about all the things that I write about, which strikes me, just now, as somewhat recursive. In any case, enjoy :)

Xiaxue makes an ass of herself (again)

Surprise, surprise. What disturbs me most about the whole sad, sordid little mess is that her fellow editors at Tomorrow are curiously (some might say ominously) quiet on the whole affair (excepting, as always, Agoooga). Perhaps they've learned something from the gahmen after all: when one of your own shows their ass, pretend it didn't happen.

I'm actually quite disappointed with Tomorrow. My opinion of Xiaxue couldn't have gotten any lower, but Tomorrow's editor's actions and inactions in regards to Xiaxue's Durai-esque blunder make me question whether Tomorrow is worth my continuing support. Or yours. Or anybody's.

C'mon, guys: the silence is killing you.

Some of the editors inform me that they are busy, and have better things to do, or lack interest in the whole debacle.

lol!

it's amazing how many sheep miss cheng has.

Hi Agagooga, if that is really what some of the editors said, I think it was stupid of me to support tomorrow.sg so passionately.

LOL Agagooga sounds like PAP's government spokesman, when confronted with gay/democracy rights issues.

"Some of the government officials inform me that they are busy, and have better things to do, or lack interest in the whole debacle."

Just j/k agagooga. Love Balderdash. =P

Funny how the hate site charge conveniently overrides the lovely cries of "foreign workers" and "faggots" on XX's site.

Time perhaps for another "Tomorrow"?

Rather than having a bunch of editors with way too much "power" to revoke and remove entries, how about something a little more transparent?

Ideas anyone?

actually its true that I can't be bothered with the whole affair.

Of course I have my opinions on specific issues regarding Tomorrow i.e. I don't like the deletion of comments, I like free speech for all etc.

But otherwise, I couldn't give a rats ass about the impersonation thing or the catfight between all the girls.

Curiously or ominously quiet? Things basically happened over the weekend.
It's funny (and perhaps indicative of a certain conspiracy-theorist mentality) that people ascribe all sorts of motives to our silence. "Better things to do" may sound flippant, but the fact is, those "better things" include taking care of families and working.

And to be honest, yes, I'm with shianux - I lack interest in the whole thing. I wouldn't have published the article because I don't even like articles about the so-called Singapore blogosphere - I like working on Tomorrow because it highlights obscure posts and blogs, not because it highlights posts that everyone would already be reading already.

As for the deletion of comments etc. - yeah, I have my own opinions. But I don't like giving any more credence to this silly fight.

Sigh... then next time just say got other things to do... not better things to do. Else, to a supporter like me, makes me feel as though I've wasted my time supporting tomorrow.sg.

Yah, I was like, nabeh, I go out and work and come home check email got so many from editors. Whas goin' on? Then one fella tell me one story, another tell me other story. Confused until wah piang eh, dowan to deal with it any more. So I went out and bought a pair of shoes.

Underlying MM's question is the unrealised potential of Tomorrow --Cannot disagree that some of you did not have the interest nor the time to deal with the affair but at the same time every such disinterest, as individuals, subtracts away the potentiality as a collective team you represent.

shianux, daryl and miyagi,
Why are you guys replying here instead of tomorrow.sg? I know there are more trolls in tomorrow.sg. Perhaps, it may stir more reaction in the short term but letting the trolls roam without any sensible reply is going to create biased view.

In the political world, there is a golden rule: if you throw enough mud, some will eventually stick.

The trolls and hate-mails are destroying the value of tomorrow.sg and it seems the editors are not willing to intervene (note: I am not asking you to defend or condemn XX). But I believe you guys can point out the absurdity of some of the hate-mails and put your writings skills to good use.

I also feel that you guys can do more to prevent repetition of such unnecessary episodes in the future.

See the todayonline view expressed by one reader about triggering hate views.

I apologize in advance for having a high expectation of the editors too.

I don't agree with anonymous. I think the editors have done the right thing (except, as usual, jseng, who's done the wrong thing.)

Basically they can't do or say anything. To speak out in favour of Xiaxue is wrong because what she did was indefensible. To speak out against her is wrong because she's a fellow editor.

And I think the editors have been through enough mud slinging to know that you don't wrestle with pigs. At least most of them have learnt that lesson by now.

Deleted the trackback didn't you.

What a bunch of spoilsports...

Why is speaking against her wrong just because she's a fellow editor? If you've screwed up, you've screwed up. This isn't a case of blood vs. water.

By the logic you're using, (just hypothetical) to speak out against a criminal is wrong if he's your coworker?

It was a duplicate trackback.

No one above the age of 12 cares about the XX catfight, the main issue is that the editors are doing unethical things like revoking votes and deleting stuff. And pretending that this is all about a catfight. Sad to say, they ARE a bunch of jokers, whose finest work involves writing an humiliating expose about a girl with plastic surgery. Come on, if they want to take such a high moral ground, then someone should rebuke XX.

I hate XX ever since the 12 year old orgy post cos I am 12 I won't take that comment lying down. Now XX makes a fool of herself, haha, congrats, but i don't give a damn about the tomorrow issue, it does not concern me anyway...

Interesting entry + comments. Btw, reckon this is a very good way to demonstrate how diff it is between the East and West thinkers.

East, close door concept; West, open and voice their gut out loud.

Just because she alone had created the boo-boo in Tomorrow, doesnt mean da whole Tomorrow have to pay the price for her "individual" mistake!

Obviously is time to learn for "somebody", but as she is nobody for me... I would not wasting any of my precious time and effort to tune her right. Cos at the end of the day, am still a happy gal that moving on wif my own life.

Actually, I prefer the editors to remain silence than do what Jseng is doing.

But agagooga is doing a good job. Respect for the man.
