China's Ghost Cities & Malls

The madness of the modern economy displays many morbidly fascinating symptoms:


I wonder what it says about me that I was thinking about all this in terms of a story as I watched. Nothing good, I'm sure.

Suppose they built a city and nobody came.

Maybe full of zombies, or vampires who have killed almost everyone and humans are on the verge of extinction...

Oh that'd be I Am Legend. Damn.

I have seen these sorts ghost suburbs near Hanoi as well.
