Greetings and Salutations!

Welcome to the longest-running* yet least-read** blog on the internet! Here you'll find me writing about all the things that I write about, which strikes me, just now, as somewhat recursive. In any case, enjoy :)

Friday

...is, unfortunately, for marking papers.

In other news, have I mentioned that I like sitting on grass? Yesterday during a break, I sat down in a little grassy patch by the MRT station (garnering a few odd looks, but meh) and thought a bit about The Blade That Whispers Hate and the plotting problems I've been having with that one.

And I think I have a least part of a solution.

In other news, I'm supposed to be writing faster. I see the point, but I'm stuck with my pace, and my pace is what it is. I'm also supposed to learn from failure. Oh, believe me, I've an Ivy League education in that. :)

Enjoy your Friday, peeps.

Those moments of clarity are what make the monotany worth it.
I've said for years that teaching is the second-noblest profession. Since you're a father, you've got the first and second covered! Tell that to your colleagues!

Hi Michael,
Writing faster, huh? Just remember, quality is what counts, not speed nor quantity. From one Aquarius to another one, I can only tell you to be kind to yourself and your writing should fluorish in no time. I usually take a break when I have writer's block or when life gets in the way. You cannot force creativity, it just happens ;)
Cheers!

I do my best plot-problem-solving while showering, driving, or walking. Sitting on the grass sounds like a good one too. :)

Hi Will, Claudia, K.C. :)

I'm just happy to be writing again. I'm something of a fiction convalescent. ;)
