I wanted to do one of those satirical little posts that riff off the Mastercard ads where the punchline is 'blah blah blah... priceless' but then I realized a) that was done to death and b) meh. So instead I'll just say that I've completed another new short story, proving to myself that the last one was not a fluke and that real progress is being made, creatively, around here.

For Wasteland? No, not yet. I'm letting that one simmer for a while :)
The new one is fantasy, called 'The Sorcerer's Lament' need to do one more edit before I unleash it onto an unsuspecting populace. Wanna read it? :)

Deborah, it's really weird, and difficult to express how weird it is. It's been so long since I've been able to write a complete story, it's like I'm a different writer now (one sci fi story completed, and another one started today? I've never written sci fi in my life).
But things are going relatively smoothly so far. the stories are not pouring out like water from a tap, but every time I reach for the next piece, it's there, ready to hand. What else can a writer ask for, really?
